As we near the end of summer, the Bunnies are showing no signs of slowing down! This week was filled with new friendships, plenty of laughter, and so many little moments that reminded us just how kind and caring our Bunnies can be. One of our favourite moments happened right at the start of the week. A Bunny was feeling a little nervous and sad and was sitting with a counsellor when another Bunny from a different cabin noticed her. She walked right over, started chatting with her, and began complimenting her outfit. It was such a simple act of kindness, but it made a big difference – our camper quickly began to cheer up. Moments like this happened all week long, whether it was new friends holding hands as they walked to their next activity or campers looking out for one another. The Bunnies really showed us what it means to be a Bunny community this week!
Our specialist activities gave the Bunnies lots of opportunities to create, experiment, and get to know one another. In Arts & Crafts with Vine, campers made friendship-themed pasta necklaces. Before stringing their colourful noodles, they traded different colours of pasta with their friends and asked each other questions like, “What is your favourite colour?”, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, “Do you have any pets?”, and even, “What is your favourite joke?” It was a sweet way for our Bunnies to learn something new about a friend while creating something of their own. Sports with Jay is always a highlight in Bunnies from the awesome games, relay races, and many laughs the Bunnies have a blast playing together. The Bunnies also loved singing their hearts out in recording with Echo! Counsellor-led activities continued the picnic fun with crafts like B3’s ice cream cone creations made from cotton rounds, water, and food colouring. To continue the conversation at home try asking “What did you sing in recording this week?” or “Did you learn something new about your friend while making your necklace?”
This week’s Hop Hop Hooray was all about picnic fun! The Bunnies headed out on a scavenger hunt to search for different picnic items, played picnic-themed running games, and tested their aim with bean bag toss. They also got creative by designing their very own picnic blanket colouring sheets, deciding exactly what they would want to bring along to their perfect picnic. The Bunnies even put their observation skills to the test with an epic round of Spot the Difference using a collection of picnic-themed objects. There was plenty of movement, creativity, and silliness packed into our picnic adventures!
And now for this week’s Schmooze Highlights! For the first time this summer, the Bunnies took home a Minute to Win It victory! Sushi and McKenna represented the Bunnies in a challenge where they had to hold a balloon between their backs and see how far they could travel in one minute. The Bunnies cheered louder and louder as they watched their representatives go, celebrating our very first win of the summer! Fizz and Burmy also advanced in Wednesday Warrior and will be competing in the Finale next week — we can’t wait to cheer them on! Riptide represented the Bunnies in the Thursday Thingy staff vs. LIT football game, and the Bunnies made sure their support was heard loud and clear with chants of, “Riptide! Riptide!” Madelyn from B2 brought home a Silly Banana for her awesome hummus costume, while Lia from B1 earned the big Chair for her kindness, empathy, and extra helpfulness throughout the week.
Staff Celebration Moment: Scarf
This week, we are celebrating Scarf, whose warm, kind, and fun presence brings such wonderful energy to camp. Scarf goes above and beyond to make sure every member of her Bunnies 4 family feels welcomed, supported, and excited to be at camp. She brings an enthusiasm to each day that helps make camp feel like a place where every Bunny belongs. Whether she is encouraging campers to jump into an activity, celebrating their successes, or simply bringing her positive energy to the cabin, Scarf is always looking for ways to make the experience special for her campers. We are so lucky to have her as part of our Bunnies team!

What time does drop off and pick up start and end?
Drop off is from 8:45 – 9:15AM. If you need an earlier drop-off, please register for Extended Care, which starts at 8AM.
Pick Up runs from 3:50 – 4:15PM. If you need a later pick-up, please register for Extended Care, which goes until 5:30PM.
Please note we have a black-out period from 3:15 – 3:50PM. If you would like to pick up your child early, the latest you can do so is 3:15PM. Please let us know ahead of time so we have them ready and waiting for you!
