This week in Froggies, we got into the Picnic spirit while spending a lot of time bringing our three cabins together as one unit. A big focus for us was getting the kids comfortable playing, working, and hanging out with people outside of their own cabin. From games during carpool to unit-wide activities, it was really nice to see the Froggies feel less like three separate groups and more like one big community.
We also saw a lot of that teamwork come through in our specialist activities. In Cartooning with Pico, the campers got creative and worked on their own drawings, while Recording with Echo gave everyone the chance to record a song karaoke-style. Our Co-op Games with Starlight was probably the biggest test of teamwork, with the campers having to use strategy, communicate, and work together to earn points. And of course, our afternoon carpool games have become another fun way for everyone to mix together. It has been really fun watching friendships grow from those little moments.
We finished off the week with a Picnic-themed Field Day, where the campers were randomly mixed into Red, Blue, and Green teams. They competed in four different games and earned points throughout the afternoon, with Red Team ultimately taking home the win – and, of course, the stickers that came with it! The competition was definitely there, but what stood out most was how much everyone was helping their teammates, encouraging each other, and having fun together. That has really been the theme of our week: getting everyone involved, mixing up the groups, and making sure everyone feels like they have a place in Froggies.
We had a few exciting Schmooze moments this week! F1 won Tuesday Trivia, and Dream advanced in Wednesday Warrior. We also celebrated Marcus (F2), whose birthday was on Wednesday. Since he wasn’t here that day, we made sure to celebrate him when he came back on Thursday!
And a special congratulations to James (F1), who won a Big Chair! When he went up to collect it, his friend Rafael (F1) immediately went with him to help him feel more comfortable. Rafael stayed right beside him and even kept his hand on James’s back as they went up together. It was such a small moment, but it was a really sweet example of the kind of friendship and support we’ve been seeing all week.

This week’s staff shoutout goes to… Drizzy! Drizzy has a natural ability to turn everyday moments into meaningful ones, using downtime to build friendships, encourage teamwork, and teach the importance of fairness and good sportsmanship. She creates an environment where campers feel supported while still being challenged to grow, and her calm, confident leadership makes a positive impact on everyone in Froggies. We’re so lucky to have her on our team.

What time does drop off and pick up start and end?
Drop off is from 8:45 – 9:15AM. If you need an earlier drop-off, please register for Extended Care, which starts at 8AM.
Pick Up runs from 3:50 – 4:15PM. If you need a later pick-up, please register for Extended Care, which goes until 5:30PM.
Please note we have a black-out period from 3:15 – 3:50PM. If you would like to pick up your child early, the latest you can do so is 3:15PM. Please let us know ahead of time so we have them ready and waiting for you!
