With AVDC Forever as our theme this week, the Froggies got to spend the week celebrating all the things that make camp so special. It was a week full of silliness, creativity, and lots of time spent together, which honestly felt like the perfect way to wrap up another great week. Sometimes the best parts of camp are not necessarily the big events, but the moments in between when campers are laughing with each other, coming up with their own games, and just enjoying being together. The Froggies definitely had plenty of those moments this week, and it was so nice to see how comfortable they have become with one another and how much fun they can have just being themselves.
One of the highlights of the week was our Ribbit Recess Carnival! The energy was high, and campers loved getting to be part of something different alongside their friends. Throughout the week, we also continued to see just how thoughtful and creative the Froggies can be. They always find ways to put their own spin on things, whether it is through the ideas they come up with, the games they create, or simply the funny conversations and moments that happen throughout the day.
This week really felt like a celebration of camp and everything that comes with it. AVDC Forever gave us the chance to appreciate the traditions and little moments that campers look forward to each summer, but it also reminded us how much of camp is made special by the people around us. Seeing the excitement around camp traditions like this is always a reminder that sometimes the smallest things can become some of the biggest moments for campers. Whether they were participating in an activity or just spending time with their cabin, the Froggies brought lots of personality to the week.
In Schmooze news, a huge congratulations goes out to Valerie (F2), who won a Big Chair this week! Dream also represented us in Wednesday Warrior and gave it her all, placing third. We also had an exciting birthday, as Theo (F3) celebrated his 6th birthday on Wednesday! It was another fun week for the Froggies, and it was great to see them continuing to make memories together and enjoy all the little things that make camp feel like camp.

Staff Celebration Moment
This week’s staff shoutout goes to Pluto! Pluto is one of our volunteers, but she is such an important part of the team and truly rocks at what she does. She is responsible, caring, and always brings a fun energy to the unit. She takes feedback seriously, learns from her mistakes, and makes a real effort to improve rather than repeating them. That kind of maturity is huge, especially in such a busy environment like camp. On top of all of that, she is great with the campers and is someone who genuinely cares about the people around her. We are so lucky to have Pluto on the Froggies team!
