This week, the Froggies proved just how incredible they are during our We Are The Champions theme! From the very beginning, they brought energy, excitement, and smiles to every single activity. No matter what the challenge was, the Froggies faced it head-on, showing bravery, teamwork, and their never-give-up attitudes. They cheered each other on through successes, encouraged one another when things felt tricky, and celebrated every little victory along the way. Throughout the week, it became clear that being a champion isn’t only about winning—it’s about trying your best, lifting up your teammates, and having tons of fun while doing it. The Froggies truly embodied all of these values, and we couldn’t be prouder of the champion spirit they showed both on and off the field!
In Arts and Crafts this week, Otter guided the Froggies in creating their very own maracas! With just plastic eggs, dried beans, tape, and plenty of imagination, the campers transformed simple everyday materials into colourful, one-of-a-kind instruments. Each Froggie poured their creativity into decorating their maraca, using bright colors, fun patterns, and silly designs that made each instrument totally unique. Once their creations were finished, the campers were eager to put them to the test, and soon the room was filled with the joyful sounds of shaking, rhythm, and laughter. Before long, Arts and Crafts had turned into a full-on jam session, with Froggies proudly showing off their champion spirit through music and creativity. It was a true reminder that champions come in all forms—sometimes with racquets and trophies, but other times with maracas and music!
In Racquet Rallies this week with Valkyrie, the Froggies trained like true champions on the tennis court! They kicked things off by learning the basics—how to hold and swing a racquet, how to keep their eye on the ball, and how to work on accuracy and control. Once they had the fundamentals down, the real fun began as they started rallying with one another. Every hit of the ball was a chance to practice aim, focus, and coordination, and with each rally the Froggies grew more confident in their abilities. What stood out the most, though, was the encouragement they gave one another—cheering for their cabinmates and celebrating every good rally. By the end of the week, the Froggies weren’t just swinging racquets like pros—they were showing that champions are made through patience, teamwork, and a whole lot of positivity!
On Wednesday in Ribbit Recess with Lizard, the Froggies got to dive into a rainbow of colours while tie-dying their very own bandanas! Armed with bright dyes and crisp white fabric, the campers got creative with their designs—folding, twisting, and splattering until each bandana became a work of art. Some Froggies went for big, bold patterns, while others dotted their fabric with tiny bursts of colour. No two bandanas looked the same, and that’s what made them so special. By the time everything was laid out to dry, the line was covered in a brilliant rainbow of Froggie-made masterpieces. With their new bandanas, the Froggies didn’t just look stylish—they looked like true champions of colour and creativity!
Staff Celebration Moment
Our Staff Shoutout of the Week goes to the one and only… Chai! Chai is a spectacular counsellor who always puts her campers first, creating a space where they feel cared for, supported, and understood. She is nurturing, patient, and endlessly kind—always taking the time to comfort kids when they need it most and celebrating with them during their happiest moments. Chai builds strong, meaningful relationships with each of her campers, making sure that everyone feels included and important. Her ability to balance fun with support makes her a true champion in the eyes of her campers and fellow staff alike. We are so lucky to have Chai on our team—thank you for bringing your heart, your warmth, and your champion spirit to the Froggies every single day!
