It’s hard to believe we’re already through Week 5 — time really does fly when we’re having fun! The Bunnies were bursting with energy this week as we leapt into all kinds of games, crafts, challenges, and camp fun. Whether we were blowing bubbles, zooming in Mario Karts, or racing across the field, the smiles were non-stop and the laughs were loud.
This week, the Bunnies dove into a whirlwind of fun-filled activities! In Nature, they crafted their own Nature Shakers by collecting rocks and sticks, turning the sounds of the forest into a rhythm all their own. At Crazy Science, campers got creative as they designed bubble sticks from pipe cleaners and beads, then watched in wonder as shimmering bubbles danced across the playground. Junior Multisport brought the energy with epic games of dodgeball and freeze tag, followed by some fast-paced racquet rallies. The fun continued with Parachute Platoon, where the Bunnies flipped, flopped, and laughed their way through colorful parachute games. In Beadology, they brought the sparkle, creating beautiful bracelets and necklaces that were bursting with Bunny style.
This week in our Bunny unit time, Hop Hop Hooray, we revved up for a wild ride through the world of Mario Kart! Campers tapped into their imaginations as they dreamed up their very own Mario Kart characters—each one bursting with personality, flair, and creativity. From speedy racers to silly sidekicks, every camper’s creation was uniquely their own. After sketching out their characters, they built colorful cars, added custom license plates, and even designed shiny trophies to crown their champion drivers. With counsellors by their side for pit stop support, everyone had a blast bringing their characters to life. It was an activity full of laughter, collaboration, and creativity—truly a high-octane Bunny bonding moment!
This week’s Schmooze had energy off the charts. Minute to Win It Monday, staff faced the ultimate challenge: cup stacking… in a plank position! The burn was real, but Rodeo muscled through and took the win. We even had a Bunny staff birthday and followed the classic birthday tradition—Cup in the Face! Swan got to choose a fellow staff member to soak, and with a counsellor-sized jug of water, she delivered an epic splash that had the Bunnies in absolute stitches. It was a hilarious highlight and the perfect way to mark a special day at camp! On Tuesday Trivia, campers tested their game knowledge and one of our Froggies cabins took the crown. We launched the August edition of Wednesday Warrior with a hilarious and skillful team challenge—passing a pool noodle using only their feet! Core strength, coordination, and lots of cheering made it a challenge to remember. We’re excited to see which staff will take the Wednesday Warrior title this month. Thursday Thingys had the entire camp buzzing with excitement as we hosted an epic staff vs staff soccer game! Campers lined the sidelines chanting and cheering—it was a match made in camp heaven. And on Friday, we wrapped up the week with a splash by celebrating a Silly Banana winner and two Big Chair winners.
The Bunny community continues to shine with kindness, empathy, and connection this week. One especially sweet moment was when a Bunny camper came bouncing in this week, proudly showing his counsellor Snoopy his brand-new backpack featuring none other than Snoopy the cartoon dog. The excitement on his face and the shared laugh between camper and counsellor was the perfect reminder of the bonds that form here every day. During a game of Doggy Doggy, one camper felt disappointed when they weren’t chosen to be the dog. Without hesitation, another camper turned and said, “I can be the doggy next time—you can go now!” and offered up their turn with the biggest smile. Moments like these show how much our Bunnies care for each other and understand what it means to be a good friend. Whether it’s helping each other clean up spilled beads during Beadology or saving a seat at lunch for someone who’s still tying their shoes, our Bunny campers are learning that the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. It’s those everyday moments of compassion and connection that make the Bunny community feel like a second home.
Staff Celebration Moment
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on none other than Swan! Swan has been an absolute gem in the Bunny crew, and her presence brings warmth and calm to everyone around her. She’s incredibly patient, endlessly kind, and always ready with a gentle smile or a comforting word—whether a camper is feeling shy on their first day or needs a hand tying their shoe. Swan creates a safe and nurturing space for her campers, where everyone feels seen, heard, and celebrated. She has a magical way of knowing just what each Bunny needs, whether it’s a quiet moment, a silly dance, or a high five after a big win. Her CIA activities are always engaging and thoughtful, and her cabin is filled with laughter, creativity, and that special Swan sparkle. She’s not just a great counsellor—she’s a Bunny superstar!
Caregiver Question of the Week
Q: Can I send my camper with extra snacks?
A: Yes! While we provide two snacks and a lunch each day, you’re welcome to send along additional snacks for your camper, as long as they are nut-free.
As we round out another week of giggles, games, and great memories, we’re sending a big Bunny goodbye to the campers finishing their last week—we’ll miss you dearly! And a big Bunny welcome to the new friends hopping in next week—we can’t wait to meet you and make more unforgettable memories together.
Warm regards,
Frizzle
