Leadership Team

Ashlee Woolfson,
Camp Director

Ashlee lives and breathes camp. Having started as a camper at age four, Ashlee has attended or worked at either a day camp or overnight camp almost every summer of her life.  Ashlee joined Adventure Valley in 2012 and has been a driving force full of camp spirit and excellent leadership.

As the Camp Director, Ashlee oversees all! Camp programming, staffing, camp policies, logistics and customer service.  Under her leadership our summer team delivers outstanding experiences for our campers, staff and parents!

When Ashlee is not at camp, she is found singing songs from musicals (we dare you to throw out a show tune and see what happens!), spending time with her husband, son, and daughter, and teaching high energy fitness classes. If the energizer bunny was a real life person – it’s name would be Ashlee Woolfson!

Robyn Hochglaube,
Camp Director Emeritus

With over 25 years as a camp director at several Toronto private camps, Robyn serves at Adventure Valley as an advisor and executive director. She takes an active role in policy and program development, sharing her expertise with our camp community through our partners in parenting blog content, and developing our staff team during summer staff training.  Robyn’s depth of knowledge on building strong communication and team foundations is an invaluable asset to our camp.

She is extremely community oriented and takes the lead on developing our community outreach programs at AV and fundraising to send kids to camp.

Professionally, she works as a strategic talent advisor (she is a Kolbe© certified consultant and relational leadership coach) aligning  teams for maximum productivity and enhanced communication and collaboration – skills she contributes to our AV Staff Training each year!

Robyn’s favorite summer activities are cycling, swimming, beach volleyball and hiking!

Kevin Gandy,
Chief Financial Officer

Kevin oversees the camp finances, payroll, and general logistics planning. His secret superpower is finding the most efficient bus routes to ensure everyone can get to camp from all corners of Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, and Etobicoke!

Kevin holds a B.Comm from Queen’s University (‘97) and is a CPA.  Although his career started at PricewaterhouseCoopers, as soon as he stepped into the world of summer camp, he found his true passion. Combining his love of the outdoors and sports with his natural abilities as an accountant, summer camp was a natural fit.  He supports Ashlee and the team with all budgeting, operational and logistical components of the camp and ensures our safety protocols are top notch.

When he is not crunching numbers, Kevin can be found on the trails with his cross bike. He makes a point to join in on an international race at least once a year to feed his love of travel and adventure.
