Kangas Week 4

Once upon a time, in a land far far away, there was a camp bustling with fun and laughter, named Adventure Valley. Week Four has been an absolute blast and we can’t wait to continue the fun in August! We loved seeing new and returning faces this week for a week filled with magic. 

This week, Kangas waved their wands and joined us for a “spell”- binding week of Folklore inspired fun. Kicking it off, Kangas started with creating their own magical creatures using FIMO clay. From dragons, to wizards, to fairies, there were some amazing mystical creatures. During drumming, Kangas got ready waving their sticks to unleash some amazing tunes that could be heard throughout the camp. From flying to Mars, to slaying dragons, Kangas were ready to embark on their newest adventure creating some magical musical moments. 

Abra-ca-dabra! Kangas experienced some magical moments during WonderPhil, where magic was unlocked and it was one to add to the storybooks. Kangas enjoyed watching magic come to life with some fabulous tricks. From there, Kanga’s hopped their way to Kangoo kids, trying to reach for the stars with trampoline shoes. In cartooning, we unleashed our inner fairy tales and created some story books. During Sand & Surf this week, we took to the water to cool off and step into the realm of fantasy with water wizards, queens, fairies and knights. 

This week at Schmooze, counselor and camper duos learned some new party tricks, by finding out how many pipe cleaners they could fit into their cups. We were thrilled to see how many trivia questions we could answer during Tuesday Trivia. We wrapped up our July Wednesday Warrior, with a nail biting, life sized game of Tic-Tac-Toe. The camp roars could be heard for acres and acres, as campers cheered while two awesome counsellors battled their way to our 2023 July Wednesday Warrior champion! During Thursday Thingys, we were ready to watch our counselors battle it out during our second Lip-Sync battle of the summer. From Umbrella to Love is an open door, we could feel the spirit in our bones, as they battled to win the coveted Dabbing Dino. We ended an amazing week, celebrating our Big Chair and Silly Banana winners. 

As we say goodbye to July, we bid farewell to some and welcome others for another month of summer fun at AV. We can’t wait for all the fun to come!
