This week, the Bunnies had an incredible time making their mark at camp. Week three was one to remember with pre-historic-themed fun the whole way through.
They also worked on their soccer skills, practicing kicks and running drills with our soccer specialist, Sizzle. The highlight was playing Minnows and Sharks on the soccer field with their counselors, where they learned teamwork and had a lot of fun trying to score a goal while avoiding the sharks!
The Bunnies had an amazing time dancing and moving at X Movement this week. They held hands, danced in circles, and filled the air with laughter and smiles. It was wonderful to see the campers build a sense of community by inviting each other to dance and welcoming new campers into their circles. The Bunnies connected with new friends and their counselors, creating wonderful memories together!
This week, the Bunnies had a blast listening to Acorn read “The Good Dinosaur” during Adventures with Acorn. They eagerly asked questions and listened intently to the story. Afterwards, they headed to the Schmooze field to play “What Time is it, Mr. Dino?” The entire camp could hear the Bunnies enthusiastically chanting their unit cheer, which Acorn had taught them on the way over.
Each week, we proudly award the Big Chair to campers who exemplify positive qualities such as kindness, respect, and empathy. This week, we are excited to announce that several Bunnies campers were Big Chair recipients!
Additionally, the Bunnies wowed us with their stellar prehistoric costumes, earning them Silly Banana awards for their creativity and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to these campers and staff for their amazing camp spirit!
Staff Celebration Moment
This week’s staff celebration moment shines a spotlight on Taffy. Taffy went above and beyond to connect with her campers, playing fun games and always making time for meaningful conversations. She made a special effort to get her campers up and dancing at Schmooze, helping them learn the camp dance and ensuring everyone felt included. One camper told Taffy said, “I like holding your hand when we walk to our activities.” Thank you, Taffy, for making this week unforgettable for your cabin!
