Another amazing week at camp in the books for the Tigers! With only one week left of camp this summer, the Tigers made it count this week, participating to the fullest in all the fun to be had at Adventure Valley. The Tigers truly exemplified the theme of collaboration this week, taking every opportunity to work together and help each other out, whether that was showing someone how to do a step at arts and crafts or helping someone up after stumbling at Kangoo Kids. Cheers of “You got this!” and “Keep trying!” could be heard from Tiger campers across camp, and they showed all of camp that anything can be accomplished if we work together.
The Tigers had the most fun this week with all the activities at camp and having a blast trying new things as well as revisiting things they had previously done, everything being as exciting as it’s always been. This week at Roaring Rallies, the Tigers got to put their artsy skills to great use, as they tie-dyed their own bandanas! Campers got to create a unique memory that will remind them of their time at camp forever.
There were so many creative costumes this week for “Insect” week. Campers got to showcase their creativity and love for their environment by creating super cool costumes relating to bugs. In addition to these Silly Banana contenders, the Tigers had a well-deserved Big Chair winner on Friday. It was also a packed week for Tiger birthdays, with three campers having their birthdays celebrated this week. Two of these campers got extra lucky when spinning the birthday wheel and landed on “Pie in the Face,” getting to throw whipped cream in the face of a staff of their choice on Friday at Schmooze!
Staff Celebration Moment
This week, the Tigers would like to shoutout Starlight. Starlight is one of our phenomenal Sunshine Counsellors. Their ability to make a connection with their camper and support them is a joy to witness, and their smiling face leaves an incredible impact on all of camp. Thank you, Starlight, for all your kindness and positivity!
Caregiver Question of the Week
“Can I send my camper to camp with toys?”
No. Toys at camp often get lost or ruined. We’ve also found that it creates more exclusionary play rather than inclusionary. Thanks for your understanding! 🙂
See you on Monday for one more amazing week, Tigers!
