This week, the Froggies made a big splash as they dove headfirst into the magical world of Under the Sea Week! From the very first day, our campers were swimming in creativity, imagination, and fun. Whether they were crafting ocean creatures, solving sea-themed challenges, or giggling through games, the Froggies explored the deep blue in true camp style — with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of energy.
With every activity, they showed they were ready to ride the wave of adventure, dive into new experiences, and discover the treasures of friendship and fun waiting just beneath the surface. It’s been a fintastic week, and we’re so excited to share all the highlights from this unforgettable underwater journey!
While we were deep in the ocean theme, the Froggies also took a little detour to the jungle in Arts & Crafts, where creativity was roaring with excitement! Campers transformed simple paper plates into bold and beautiful Paper Plate Lions, complete with colorful manes and fierce expressions. It was a reminder that inspiration can come from anywhere — even everyday materials — and that no two lions (or Froggies!) are alike. Hear them roar!
Over in Crazy Science, campers discovered that science and art can go hand in hand! The Froggies explored how magnets work by using them to spread and swirl paint, creating stunning, one-of-a-kind abstract artwork. It was the perfect blend of learning and self-expression, and the room was buzzing with excitement as colors danced across the page like waves in the ocean.
On Wednesday, the Froggies dove even deeper into the sea during Ribbit Recess with Lizard! With pipe cleaners, crayons, and tons of imagination, campers created their very own sea creatures, from slow-swimming turtles to wiggly octopuses — and even some creatures never before discovered! Each camper brought their own twist to their creation, showing off the Froggies’ signature creativity and eye for detail. The unit was transformed into an underwater art studio, full of colour, laughter, and ocean magic!
What a week it’s been! The Froggies have swum through stories, explored new skills, and created a sea of memories we’ll never forget. Whether on land or under the sea, they continue to impress us with their curiosity, kindness, and unstoppable energy.
We can’t wait to see where next week’s adventure takes us — but one thing’s for sure: with this crew, it’s going to be un-frog-ettable!
Staff Celebration Moment
The Froggies are sending a big round of applause to the one and only Lolly, our incredible Staff Shoutout of the Week! Lolly is a truly fantastic counsellor who brings patience, empathy, and a calming presence to everything she does. Whether she’s supporting a camper through a tough moment, joining in a silly game, or offering a listening ear, Lolly always meets her campers exactly where they’re at — with kindness, understanding, and genuine care.
Her ability to build trust and connection with every child in her group is something special, and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our Froggie team. Thank you, Lolly, for all the heart you bring to camp each day — we’re so lucky to have you!
Parent Question of the Week
Q: What do I do if I need to pick up my camper early?
A: If you know what time you would like to pick up your camper, please email me at froggies@adventurevalley.ca or the camp office at camp@adventurevalley.ca and let us know what time you would like to pick them up. We will then have them ready and waiting for you with a counsellor in the West parking lot (marked with the orange Adventure Valley flags).
If you are early or arranging for a last minute pickup, please call the camp office (905-901-4862) and a staff member will bring your camper out to you!
Please note that we have an early pickup blackout period from 3:15-3:50.
