The Froggies leapt into adventure this week as Flora and Fauna Week bloomed all around us! From the tiniest wildflowers to the most fascinating creatures, our campers dove headfirst into the wonders of the natural world. Whether they were learning about different habitats or creating nature-inspired crafts, the Froggies’ curiosity was in full bloom.
In Arts and Crafts this week with Otter, the Froggies turned their creativity into a hands-on animal adventure! Using popsicle sticks, colourful paints, and a little inspiration from their favourite creatures, campers designed and built their very own animal puzzles. As they painted, pieced, and problem-solved, the Froggies learned how art can be both beautiful and brain-boosting. By the end of the week, each camper had a one-of-a-kind puzzle to take home—a perfect keepsake from their wild and wonderful Flora and Fauna Week.
In Crazy Science with Malibu, the Froggies got their hands messy exploring the fascinating world of Oobleck! This strange, squishy substance had everyone amazed as it shifted between solid and liquid depending on how it was touched. Campers squeezed it into a firm ball one moment, then watched it ooze through their fingers the next. Through this fun, hands-on experiment, the Froggies discovered how science can feel like pure magic—and that sometimes, the best way to learn is to dive right in and get a little messy.
On Wednesday in Ribbit Recess with Lizard, the Froggies became habitat experts as they built their very own forest, desert, and jungle scenes! First, they coloured the landscapes, then decorated them with stickers of animals that call each environment home. From towering trees to sandy dunes to lush, leafy canopies, each creation was bursting with detail and personality. The activity gave campers a chance to show off both their creativity and their growing knowledge of the natural world—filling every corner of their habitats with life, colour, and imagination.
As Flora and Fauna Week comes to a close, the Froggies have truly blossomed into curious explorers and creative thinkers. From hands-on crafts, to messy science experiments, to habitat adventures, every moment was filled with discovery and fun. We can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them next!
Staff Celebration Moment
Our Staff Shoutout of the Week goes to… Minnow! Minnow is an incredible creative counsellor who always goes above and beyond to plan activities that truly connect with his campers’ interests and spark their imaginations. This week, he led his group of Froggies in making their very own animal masks using nothing but paper plates, crayons, and plenty of creativity. From fierce lions to colourful butterflies, each camper brought their mask to life with unique designs and bright colors. Minnow’s enthusiasm and thoughtful guidance made the activity a huge success, encouraging campers to express themselves and have fun in the process. Thanks for all your hard work and inspiration, Minnow—way to make this week unforgettable!

Q: What is a Silly Banana?
A: A Silly Banana is one of our special Radtagz charms that campers can earn – never buy! Every Friday at camp is Costume Day, with a different theme each week. Campers who show up in especially fun, creative, and unique costumes have the chance to be awarded a Silly Banana tag for their bracelet. It’s a way to celebrate imagination, effort, and a little bit of camp silliness!
