Bunnies Week 2

Bunnies Go Full Throttle in a Mighty Week 2!

The Bunnies shifted into high gear for Week 2 of camp as we zoomed into our Mighty Machines theme! From garbage trucks to fire engines, bulldozers to helicopters, our campers were revved up and ready to explore all the amazing machines that help our world go ‘round. It’s been a wheelie awesome week filled with teamwork, creativity, and plenty of horsepower-fueled fun. Whether they were building friendships or solving puzzles, our Bunnies proved they’re more than just cute and cuddly—they’re mighty machines in motion!

The Bunnies kept their engines running with a full tank of activities this week! In arts and crafts, campers designed their very own monogram masterpieces. Using tape and paint, they created bold, colorful canvases featuring the first letter of their names—peeling back the tape revealed a sharp and stylish design that was truly letter-perfect! In PlayGym, campers rolled with laughter (and giant beach balls) as they zipped through soccer games and relay races. Imagination Station featured a visit from the one and only Ducky, who led the Bunnies through silly stories and playful surprises. We stretched our gears during yoga, and campers sang like stars during recording, belting out tunes louder than a revving racecar. Every day brought new adventures and more fuel for fun!

Hop Hop Hoorary: Machine Madness

During unit time with Frizzle, the Bunnies hit the Hop Hop Hooray Highway with a full-blown Mighty Machines Bonanza! We started by learning about different kinds of machines—construction, emergency, and recycling vehicles—and what they do in our communities. Then, we shifted gears into a high-energy scavenger hunt! Campers raced to find four hidden bags around camp, each containing a puzzle. Once back in their rooms, they solved their puzzles and then had to match their completed picture to the right character. A fire truck puzzle led them to Marshall and the recycling truck with Rocky from Paw Patrol, an ambulance matched with Doc McStuffins, and the construction vehicle with Bob the Builder. The Bunnies nailed this challenge and showed they’re masters of problem-solving and teamwork!

Schmooze Gets the Crowd Revving

Schmooze continued to be the engine of camp spirit this week—right in the middle of our day between Periods 5 and 6! On Monday, we revved up the week with a Minute to Win It squat showdown! Five camper-counselor duos stepped up to the challenge, with each camper hopping on their counselor’s back while they squatted it out. Medusa and her camper showed true muscle-machine power and squatted their way to a well-earned victory! Tuesday’s Trivia was all about Mighty Machines, and a clever Froggies cabin crushed it with their knowledge. Wednesday brought another round of Wednesday Warrior—campers cheered as staff balanced balls on paddles and raced across the field to their teammates. Medusa and Hibiscus gave it their all but were eliminated in this intense gear-grinding challenge. Thursday Thingys was a showstopper with a Lip Sync Battle that had us dancing in our seats! The Red Team brought the heat with High School Musical’s “Summertime,” but the Blue Team’s Genie-tastic “Friend Like Me” came out on top, winning the coveted Dabbing Dino Radtagz. We wrapped up the week by celebrating three Silly Banana winners in the Bunnies, each rocking mighty machine-worthy costumes that blew us away! We also honored two Big Chair winners–campers who led with kindness, positivity, and teamwork all week long.

Every Friday during the last period, the Bunnies and Froggies tune up for one of our favorite traditions—Music Fest! We gather with Ariel, our musical maestro, for an afternoon full of camp classics, catchy choruses, and serious sing-along fun. From repeat-after-me songs to silly motions, our campers belt it out with joy and confidence. It’s the perfect way to end the week on a high note, and our Bunnies never miss a beat! Whether they’re crooning about moose named Fred or waving their arms to “Yeah Toast.” Music Fest keeps the camp spirit harmoniously humming all the way into the weekend.

Building a community with Heart-Power

Once again, our Bunny community showed that kindness is the strongest machine of all. When one camper got hurt this week, another camper was the first on the scene with a big hug, gently telling them, “It’s going to be okay.” During our scavenger hunt, when a friend was stuck on their puzzle, another camper immediately stepped in and said, “I’ll help—we always help at camp!” These moments are what make our unit run smoothly—our Bunnies lift each other up, lend a hand, and show every day that teamwork and empathy are what truly power camp.

Staff Spotlight: Snoopy Sparks Joy

Our staff of the week is the one and only Snoopy, and she’s been an absolute engine of awesome! From the moment campers arrive, Snoopy is there with a warm smile, a comforting presence, and genuine care for every single Bunny. She takes the time to check in, ask about their day, and really listen—making each camper feel seen, heard, and loved. She gets campers pumped up for activities, brings big energy to every game, and never misses a chance to get silly or dance it out. Whether she’s joining in a relay race, guiding a craft, or simply sitting with a camper who needs a quiet moment, she does it all with patience, kindness, and a sprinkle of Snoopy magic. She also brings calm and connection to the end of the day, reading books during our cabin huddles that help campers wind down and reflect. Her warmth, humor, and constant support make her a rockstar teammate and a beloved counselor. Snoopy is the fuel that keeps our Bunny engine purring, and we are so lucky to have her!

Caregiver Question of the Week

Q: What do I do if I’m dropping off my camper late?

A: Go to the west parking lot and give us a call! The camp phone number is on our sign out front and someone will come and pick up your camper to bring them to their group.

It’s been a tire-rific week full of action, adventure, and heart. The Bunnies have shown that when we work together, cheer each other on, and keep things rolling, there’s nothing we can’t do. We can’t wait to tow you along for another week of camp magic in Week 3!

Warm regards,

Frizzle
