Bunnies Week 7

This week, the Bunnies were full of camp spirit! A highlight was the sand play activity, where the campers got creative with their counselors.

The Bunnies had fun engaging in a friendly sandcastle competitions, building castles decorated with leaves and sticks they collected. It was a great way for them to work together and enjoy some outdoor fun!

This week, the Bunnies counselors and campers celebrated six birthdays! The sense of community within each cabin was on full display as everyone clapped and cheered for their friends and counselors heading up the Schmooze Hill to spin the birthday wheel on their special days.

The excitement peaked when the birthday honorees picked a counselor to splash with a cup of water, with laughter all around. It was heartwarming to see the Bunnies supporting and cheering for one another.

This week during Adventures with Acorn, the campers had a blast tie-dyeing bandanas! They enjoyed choosing their own colors and dipping their bandanas into the dye.

The excitement grew as they discovered how different folds created unique patterns, making each design one-of-a-kind. The campers were so happy with their vibrant and colorful results, proudly showing off their fun creations.

This week, the Bunnies were buzzing with excitement for Insect-Themed Week! The campers enjoyed participating in a variety of insect-themed activities planned by their counselors, sparking their imaginations and creativity. We were thrilled to see some incredible costumes from both campers and counselors, with two Bunnies counselors winning Silly Banana awards for their standout outfits!

In addition, we are proud to announce that two campers from the Bunnies cabins received Big Chair Awards for exemplifying positive qualities like respect, kindness, empathy, and responsibility.

Congratulations to these amazing campers and counselors!

Staff Celebration Moment

This week’s staff celebration moment goes to Pearl! As a dedicated counselor in Bunnies Four all summer, Pearl has taken the time to truly understand and meet the needs of each camper. Her kindness and patience shine through in the quiet moments she spends connecting and conversing with her campers. Each morning, the Bunnies light up when they see her, excitedly shouting, “PEARLLLLLL!” and eagerly asking her to join them.

Thank you, Pearl, for your hard work and the care you bring to the Bunnies every day!

Parent Question of the Week

“Can I send my camper to camp with toys?”

No. They often get lost and/or ruined. We have also found that it can create exclusionary rather than inclusionary play. Thank you for your understanding!
