Froggies Week 3

What a wonderful week our Froggies had! Even though we had some rain, it always felt sunny with the Froggies!

Even when they had to stay inside, the campers still had a blast. Whether it was singing songs at recording, doing a giant obstacle course in the gym, or making bracelets; there was never a dull moment!

The Froggies’ counsellors came up with some amazing activities for their campers. Packing in as much fun as they could!

Froggies 1 had a dino scavenger hunt; campers searched all over camp and successfully found all 12 dinosaurs hidden around site.

Froggies 2 made dinosaur masks, encouraging campers to get creative and work on their mighty roars.

Froggies 3 had a competitive signature scavenger hunt, racing to see who could get the most autographs from all the staff at camp.

Froggies 4 made dinosaur eggs and then designed what they thought their dinos would look like if they hatched out of the egg.

At Ribbit Recess, the campers came up with their own dinosaur dance moves and we had a unit-wide Dino Disco!

When one cabin came up to present their dance moves, there was a camper who was feeling a little shy. Before the counsellors could step in to help, her cabinmates rushed over to encourage her. They convinced their friend that things aren’t as scary when we do them together. The camper gained the confidence she needed and the dance moves were fantastic!

It’s those types of friendships that make Froggies such a positive force around camp.

On Friday, the camp spirit was through the roof! All of the costumes were fantastic! We had a variety of dinosaurs, cavemen, and paleontologists roaming around camp. There was Froggy whose dinosaur costume won a Silly Banana!

Not only did a Froggy win a Silly Banana, but another Froggy earned a Big Chair! This camper displayed great positivity, leadership, respect, and most of all, he was was a great friend to all campers – always making sure that his fellow cabinmates were having just as much as he was!

Staff Celebration Moment

We would like to celebrate Maple this week! Maple excels at building positive relationships with all campers, regardless if they are in her cabin or not. It’s not uncommon to hear a camper yell as they walk by, “I love you Maple!”

And to hear her yell back, “I love you too buddy!”

Anytime we see Maple around camp, it’s clear that she cares about the campers.

Once a camper asked Maple, “Can I tell you something?”

Maple knelt down and let the camper know, “You can tell me anything.”

Campers can always count on Maple, whether it’s because they just need someone to listen or perhaps even a dance partner.

Parent Question of the Week

How do I add funds to my camper’s conline wallet for tuck?

On your Camp Brain profile, scroll down to the camp store and click “add funds”.

You will then see prompts asking for the amount and credit card details.
