Kangas Week 2

This week, Kangas brushed up on fun by releasing their artistic adventures. We were beyond excited to welcome new and returning members to the AV family. We had a fun filled week, with lots of creativity and excitement. 

We started off our week with some Reptile Rendezvous, slithering into Adventure Valley Day Camp. Our campers had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles, including snakes, lizards and turtles. We even got a special visit from Lizard, our Kangas Assistant Unit Head for a special Lizard squared photo session! We learned some fascinating facts about these incredible creatures and for those feeling adventurous, they got to touch and hold some new reptile friends. 

Kangas drummed up the beat; letting the Rhythm resonate through Adventure Valley with some amazing bucket drumming. Kangas were practicing their musical skills with a lively drum circle. The energy and enthusiasm in the air was contagious, and our campers couldn’t help but move to the rhythm! 

This week at Schmooze, we revisited a camp favourite, Doctor Jones. Campers put on their dancing shoes and got ready to move and groove to the infectious beats. We were shaking our hips and tapping our feet and we unleashed our inner dance superstars. We continued to practice our dance moves with our camp dance, followed by our favourite chant, the AV Cheer! 

Art Attack was a hit filled with a whirlwind of colours, shapes and artistic expressions. From paint palettes, arrays of crayons and some starry night interpretations, AV was filled with splashing waves of creativity. We roared and cheered to celebrate our Silly Banana winners for their awesome creativity. 

We added another fantastic week to the books for our 2023 camp season. From art-filled adventures to thrilling escapades, we’ve created some memories where every stroke tells a story! We can’t wait for more laughter and remarkable moments to come!
