Hello Tigers! I hope that you all had a wonderful start to your summer. We sure did!
This week the Tigers beat the heat with water games, helped out a pirate, and walked like an astronaut. Although it was a short week, we packed it with a whole bunch of fun!
Our campers enjoyed the typical camp activities such as field games, soccer, and archery! With every arrow, our campers got closer and closer to that bullseye!
One of the campers’ favourite pastimes this week was a game called drip, drip, drop. It’s like duck, duck, goose but with a bucket of water. The campers particularly enjoyed dumping buckets and buckets of water on their counsellors.
On Wednesday the Tigers had a visit from Pirate Patty who needed their help finding Black Beard’s prized possessions. It started with an obstacle course to see if the campers had their sea legs. They all raced through the course at lightning speed. Then, each cabin came up with an original sea shanty. Extra kudos to the campers who were banging on the tables to keep the beat! Pirate Patty was particularly impressed with the rhyming schemes that the Tigers came up with. The final event was a water-filled competition similar to Capture the Flag. The wet chaos was the perfect way to beat the heat that afternoon.
All of our cabins participated in Kangoo Kids – playing games in the gym while bouncing around in trampoline shoes. Some campers started a bit wobbly, but they soon got their footing and had a great time!
On Friday, our campers had a blast with this week’s theme: Under the Sea! There were some fantastic costumes all over camp. Big shout out to this Tiger with the stellar sunken treasure costume! It earned them a Silly Banana radtag!
It has been an incredible week of laughter, fun, and friendship! We are so happy to have met all of these wonderful kids, and we can’t wait for more fun to come!
Thank you Tigers for a stellar start to the summer!
