The third week of the LIT program focused on leadership opportunities for the LITs.
Thursday brought about the biggest leadership opportunity; the LITs ran schmooze! Schmooze is a camp-wide activity that happens daily. It features a birthday celebration for any birthdays in camp, an activity, a dance party, and the camp cheer.
The LITs spent many hours planning their schmooze activity and practicing their parts. Their activity, a water balloon dodgeball game, featured both the LITs and the leadership team. In the end, the LITs were victorious in both the dodgeball game and in their quest to host an incredible schmooze!
Camp was buzzing with talk of how awesome the LIT Schmooze was, and we couldn’t be prouder.
What’s more is that the LITs planned their own surprise for Clementine… a bucket of water! After the Schmooze activity the LITs pulled off an amazing prank and cupped their unit head in the face.
On top of that, the prize for winning the dodgeball game was that the LITs got to pie in the face three leadership team members. They chose Lizard, Sizzle, and Clementine! The LITs gathered Friday at Schmooze and again amused all of camp with their pie in the face shenanigans!
There were three Big Chair winners from the Land of the LITs this week! A Big Chair is awarded to campers who demonstrate awesome qualities that fall under the two pillars of AV which are building community and growth mindset. These LITs demonstrated incredible leadership, positivity, confidence and kindness. Way to go LITs!
We also had one Silly Banana winner! A Silly Banana is awarded to campers who have awesome costumes on Friday dress-up days. This Silly Banana hand-sewed a terrifying monster costume that wowed us. Congratulations on your award-winning costume.
A Note from Clementine
Wow! What an incredible week it has been for the LITs. I simply do not have enough adjectives to describe how awesome you all have been! I am so proud of how far you’ve come, and for the hard work you put into your Schmooze this week.

Caregiver Question of the Week
How does the Tuck shop work?
On a Unit designated Tuck Day, counsellors receive a tuck order form with their attendance. If a child has money in their account, counsellors ask campers to choose from a list of items. Our office packs the tuck and counsellors hand it out at afternoon snacktime!
