Froggies Week 7

It was another busy and fun week with the Froggies as we enjoyed our Sky is the Limit theme and everything that came along with it! Throughout the week, one of the nicest things to see was how naturally kind and encouraging the Froggies were with each other. We saw campers offering ideas, helping each other out, inviting others to join in, and cheering their friends on. One especially sweet moment was watching a group encourage a friend to join them and then immediately become her biggest fans, cheering her on the whole time. It was one of many little moments this week that showed how considerate the Froggies can be while still having lots of fun and being their usual silly selves.

The Froggies also had lots of fun during their specialist activities! At Shimmering with Shimmer, they got creative with paper plates, stickers, and a truly impressive amount of glitter. In Recording with Echo, they got to show off their singing with some karaoke-style fun, while Gymnastics with Ballet had them moving through a floor circuit similar to a gymnastics-ified obstacle course. The Froggies were very invested in everything they did this week and brought lots of creativity and silliness with them. It was also great to see them sharing ideas, offering to help each other, and finding ways to do things together while still having a good time.

For Ribbit Recess, the Froggies took on an Amazing Race-style challenge! Each cabin started with a clue that sent them to their first station, where they had to complete a challenge before getting Lizard’s approval to open their next clue. There were seven challenges to work through, plus a few detours along the way, with tasks like knocking down cups to reveal a secret letter, recreating a LEGO structure, and getting from start to finish while keeping a balloon in the air. The Froggies love a good challenge, so they were very excited by the fast pace and the chance to figure things out for themselves. It was great watching each cabin come up with their own strategies, listen to each other’s ideas, and realize pretty quickly that the best way to keep moving was to work together.

There was lots to celebrate at Schmooze this week too! Dream and Spike both advanced in Wednesday Warrior and will continue on in the competition. Leo (F3) had a particularly exciting week, earning both a Silly Banana and a Big Chair, while Rowan (F4) also earned a Silly Banana! We also had two birthdays to celebrate on Thursday: James (F2) celebrated his birthday, and we celebrated a little early with Leo (F2), whose birthday is Saturday. Between birthdays, Wednesday Warrior, Silly Bananas, Big Chairs, and plenty of cheering each other on, it was a very fun week to be a Froggie!

Staff Celebration Moment

This week’s staff shoutout goes to… Soap! Soap is so good at figuring out what her campers are interested in and really leaning into it, while still keeping her group organized and everything running smoothly. She runs a tight ship, but that never stops her from being silly, singing during transitions, and having a good time with her kids. This week, she put a ton of thought and effort into planning a water activity specifically for her cabin, and it absolutely rocked! Her campers were completely into it – everyone was playing, engaged, and having the best time, and some of the other cabins were definitely a little jealous watching all the fun. Soap also showed awesome leadership in leading a song at MusicFest, for all the Bunnies and Froggies!

Soap is responsible, professional, and incredibly dependable, but she also understands that camp is supposed to be fun. She brings both sides of that every day, and her campers are very lucky to have her!

Caregiver Question of the Week

Can you please clarify the time window for drop off?

Drop Off takes place from 8:45AM – 9:15AM.

Our Kiss and Ride drop off begins at 8:45AM. Families who arrive earlier are welcome to wait inside or outside their vehicle. For those wanting earlier drop off, morning care is available from 8:00AM!

Our Kiss and Ride drop off ends promptly at 9:15AM. If you are dropping off your camper later than 9:15AM, please park in the FRONT parking lot (the one with all the columns) and give us a call. We will come collect your child! Please do not walk your child across the West parking lot if you arrive after 9:15AM. Once our staff remove our stanchion walkway, the space belongs to the bike camp.
