Woody you believe it? It was another fantastic week for the Kangas here at Adventure Valley. We were buzzing with excitement and had a toy-rific week filled with some beautiful weather and toy-tally awesome activities. We were thrilled to welcome back new and returning campers this week. From soccer to dance, recording to yoga, gymnastics to fitness, our days have been action-packed with fun and learning!
To infinity and fun; it was the Adventure Valley Toy themed extravaganza! This week, Kangas got to express their creative side with some tinkering Toy Factory awesomeness during Lounging with Lizard. We have some budding engineers and inventors who created their own imaginative toys. From wacky robots to flying paper airplanes, our Toy Factory was buzzing with creativity.
We had a Super Soaker Splash Bash during Sand & Surf. The summer sun shined so bright, we had some epic water play to beat the heat. The laughter and splashes echoed all throughout camp!
Kangas visited our creek this week to learn about water filters during Nature Navigators. Campers worked their magic and learned how to DIY some water filters and got to take a walk along the rocks for some lovely scenery.
Kangas were reaching for the sky during Yoga this week learning how to fly like butterflies. We found our inner peace and we stretched, breathed and balanced our way to tranquility. During dance, we showed off those Jazz hands and lit up the dance floor with some amazing dance moves. We were movin’ and grovin’ to some amazing music and could be seen learning some flips, tumbles and rolls during gymnastics.
This week at Schmooze, it was a Box-0-Mania week to celebrate the Adventure Valley Toy Box! From naming toys for every letter of the alphabet, to learning some new random facts during Tuesday Trivia, campers were ready for some Lid-popping laughs! We had a few special surprises – from mysterious counsellors arriving in dinosaur costumes to witnessing the first pie in the face (a birthday wheel prize!) of the summer! We continued to practice our dance moves with our camp dance, followed by our favourite chant, the AV Cheer!
From Barbie dolls to fidget spinners, Claw Machines to Jack-in-the-Boxes, we had some amazing costumes this Friday, and even some Silly Banana winners! We can’t wait to continue adding amazing memories to our toy box for our 2023 camp season!
